American Mythology is a High Plains Book Award Finalist

I’m thrilled to let folks know that American Mythology has been named a finalist for the 2026 High Plains Book Award in the fiction category.

My fellow finalists are: Stephen Graham Jones’ Buffalo Hunter Hunter and C.J. Box’s Battle Mountain. These are two writers I deeply admire, and It's truly an honor to have my work listed alongside theirs. 

The High Plains Book Award festivities will include author readings, author panels, and some good chances to meet these amazing authors. The events will take place October 3 in Billings, Montana, at the Billings Public Library. Check out the site for more details as the date approaches.
